About

New Tactical RPG set in Cold War. A tribute to game classics like Jagged Alliance, UFO, X-Com and Fallout.

The backstory

1960s. Exotic far-away lands full of adventures worthy of a real man! Or so they told you? Or maybe the reality was a bit different? War-torn countries rich of natural resources over which the super powers, both new and old empires of the past, were clashing with a very little regard of the local people. You can be an independent contractor working for whoever seems fit for the moment, or be an idealistic fighter and openly support one of the factions, or a bit of both. The in-game reputation will define missions available and support that you can - or cannot - get. The ultimate goal? Coup to overthrow the elected President of a small newly liberated nation. Or suppress the rebellion and become the President's loyal watchdog (or actually the President is the pawn now). Or you can become the new President? Or perhaps it's okay just to steal the country gold reserves and retire? Who knows.

Features Overview

Politics

As a rising commander of a mercenary company, you are no doubt attracting many eyes. People are watching and your actions define how they see and treat you.

Navigate your way among six main factions that represent the polarized political specter - from tribal communists to ultraconservative nationalists and anything in between - and don’t be a pawn in someone else’s hands.

Relationships with each faction define the storyline, a range of available missions, support and much more.

And remember, the higher you climb, the more enemies are out there - open or lurking in the shadows, ready to stab you in the back and bury deep in the jungle.

Tactics

What makes one unit such a deadly opponent and another one, just as equal in manpower and resources, a cannon fodder? Why mercenaries were such an effective force?

Take an approach never seen before in video games and apply actual battlefield tactics - on a fire team, squad, platoon and company level as you grow in rank and attract more and more resources.

Tap into one of the major military doctrines of the time: US, Britain, USSR, France (or mix and match as you grow)

Use your sergeants, lieutenants and captains to delegate mission execution and supply acquisition - or directly tap into action, a real-time or turn-based depending on your style.

Everything matters on the battlefield - the training, the equipment, the leadership.

Always outnumbered, never outgunned.

Dr. Robert Achebe

An intellectual. An opportunist. It was clear for Robert Achebe from the very beginning, that Africa one day will be free. Since 1950s he traveled around the region and even to Europe, as colonial administration was planning to promote more and more non-whites to power. A speaker and a public figure as a professor, Robert quickly became very popular with the European elites from both ends of political specter, and more importantly, he knows how to talk to the people on the streets. First elected president of Kabalungu. What it turns out to be, a public charmer might not be so good for actual government and his theories are not backed by reality. Seeing that, Robert decides to secure his power and seeks for help from his long-time aide, General Philippe Ogadigbo.

General Philippe Ogadigbo

Philippe Ogadigbo is a brilliant officer of staff and a very lucky one too. He always knew how to make friends and that allowed him to become close friends with another rising star of the time - Robert Achebe. Together they toured Europe and Africa - an intellectual and an officer, one complimenting another. He was not the first African officer to be promoted higher than sergeant, but he became the first one to be appointed the Commander of Kabalungu Armed Forces in the wake of Independence by then-colonial administration.
